The solution files

Bleedwise is a bleed record for people with haemophilia. It holds the plan your centre gave you, takes you through a bleed one step at a time, and tracks it to recovery. It has no AI and does no dose maths. Live at bleedwise.org.

How it works

Your centre's plan, at the bleed

Set up once.

Type, severity, product, the dose your centre wrote, the centre's number, your kit and stock. A caregiver can set it up for someone else.

Log a bleed.

Tap where it is on the body map and answer a few questions. You get one next step: treat at home, dose then go to A&E, or call 995.

Follow it to recovery.

Each bleed gets a page with check-ins at 24 hours, day 2, day 3, the physio point and two weeks, until you close it.

The gap it answers

Familiar bleeds are handled. The hard ones are a new site, an odd symptom, or a Sunday night with the clinic closed.

That is when people fall back on memory, a group chat or a search engine. Bleedwise puts their own centre's plan in front of them instead, with sources on every card, and shows whether the centre's line is open right now.

The rules the app cannot break

Never calculates a dose
Never a milder option than the card
No second dose on the app's say-so
Head, eye, abdomen, hip: dose, then A&E
Neck: call 995
Every home card ends with tell your nurse
Every card lists its sources
No AI in the decision path
Never messages the care team
Escalation is the patient's choice

It saves the lane it recommended and the lane taken, so both over- and under-escalation can be counted.

What is built, and what is not

Built

Setup and the card. Bleed logging with body map, red flags and three lanes. The bleed page with check-ins and closing. Dose logging with stock and adherence. The symptom checker and library. Care team notes, signed by a clinician. My record with CSV export. Works offline. Developer dashboard.

Built, demo only

Sharing a bleed with the care team, and the care team queue, roster, patient and centre views. The app tells patients nothing reaches a hospital yet.

Not built yet

Clinician sign-off on library cards. Push reminders. Spreadsheet import. Physio booking: the app prompts, the centre books.

Will not build

Dose calculation. A second dose on the app's say-so. AI in the decision path. A helpline. Chinese, Malay and Tamil come after English.
